It all started with a 2CV

Before publishing guides, I restored my own Citroën 2CV. And like many, I spent whole evenings on forums sifting through contradictory information, hunting for parts online without knowing which ones to choose, and making the classic beginner mistakes: the ones that cost hours, and sometimes a lot of money.

From that restoration I drew methods, reference points, a work sequence that actually works. It became my first book.

From one book to a collection

After that first experience, other authors and enthusiasts, each an expert on the model they know inside out, wanted to write in turn. It became my second trade: I am their publisher.

In practice, I am the one who walks each author from manuscript to finished book: structure of the work, layout, technical proofreading by experts on the model concerned, printing, translations and distribution. Every guide in the collection goes through these same steps, with the standards my own restoration taught me: that is what guarantees that an Art de La Rénovation book lives up to your project, whoever its author is.

A word about our translations

Our books are written in French, then translated from French by apprentice translators whom we mentor; this website itself is translated the same way.
